WHAT IS THIS HALLOWEEN?.. 

Halloween is All Saints Eve. This is the evening before All Saints' Day, November 01. Halloween which is an ancient festival in the world, has started in the  distant past. 

HALLOWEEN GHOSTS :

On Halloween night, children and adults dress up as ghosts and roam the streets to scare away demons, who are believed to roam the earth.

 


THE WITCH : 

A witch in a long pointed hat and long black  frock is also major symbol of Halloween. Because of this, even small children walk at night disguised as witches. 

 


They also were scary masks and clothes that look like skeletons. .

JACK - O - Lantern  means is  a special symbol of Halloween. It is black and orange colour. Black symbolize the night and orange symbolizes the colour of the pumpkin. 


TRICK AND TREAT : 

Another way for children to entertain themselves  on Halloween is to go from house to house asking for food and drink to entertain devils and spirits. They mean treating themselves with sweets etc.. or doing a prank...

MY SCHOOL

  My school is Kuliyapitiya Central Collage. It is located near Wayamba University. My school is a mixed school. More than 3000 students are studying my school.  There are classroom from grade 6-13 and I studied there in the Art Section.   My school is spread in an area of about 10 acres. A Dental,  4  Laboratories , a swimming pool, a stadium, an auditorium, principal and teacher in my school. My school is called SATHKORALAYE  PAHAN  THARUWA.  This collage was ectablished on 03.02.1947.. Also , this school became a national school on 23.07.1991.  It is a matter of pride that my  school has achieved many achievements at that national level as well as at the international level.
